Knights Templar secrets sought in Olympic dig

A massive archaeological dig has started today on the site of the 2012 Olympics. And experts hope they may uncover two water mills believed to have been built on the site by the Knights Templar in the 12th century.

'This is an opportunity to chart and record the unique history of an area back to the first Londoners,' said David Higgins, the Chief Executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority. Teams of archaeologists will spend weeks examining the Lea Valley for its hidden past and any interesting remains will be recorded or removed to the Museum of London.

One of the possible finds could be the two 12th century mills believed to have been built by the Knights Templars, the sect which appeared in Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, who were charged with protecting the Holy Grail.

They will also be examining Hennikers Ditch, a mediaeval waterway which follows the route of the ancient River Leyton and the Channelsea River, supposedly dug by King Alfred in the 9th century to divert Viking invaders.

'This investigation will tell the story of the changing landscape and exactly how human intervention has constantly influenced the environment,' said Kieron Tyler, senior archaeologist at the Museum at London.

'It is a unique opportunity to do it on such a huge scale.'

Stone Age remains found in Gothenburg

Archaeologists in Gothenburg have found the remains of an early Stone Age house. The discovery was made on a building site in the Kallebäck area of the city. Residents of the new apartments being built in the area will be living on a site inhabited 10,000 years ago.


Kallebäck now lies about 5 kilometres from the open sea, but in the stone age the area was a headland jutting out into the sea. "They most probably fished, and would certainly have hunted for seal. This was right at the end of a headland, and this means that there was access to animals for hunting," said archaeologist Ulf Ragnesten.

The discovery is the first of its kind in the region. Gothenburg itself was founded in 1621, but people first came to the area around 12,000 years ago.

The site has also yielded comparatively recent archaeological finds, with Iron Age remains from between 600 BC to 1 AD. "These are also interesting, but when we reached lower levels we found the Stone Age parts." Among the discoveries are cooking holes, grates, an arrowhead, axes and postholes. "We have known that there were ancient remains at the site since the late eighties, and now that homes are to be built here we have had to excavate the site," said Ragnesten.

Green Tea Compound May be a Therapy for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Newswise — A new study from the University of Michigan Health System suggests that a compound in green tea may provide therapeutic benefits to people with rheumatoid arthritis.

The study, presented April 29 at the Experimental Biology 2007 in Washington, D.C., looks at a potent anti-inflammatory compound derived from green tea. Researchers found that the compound – called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) – inhibited the production of several molecules in the immune system that contribute to inflammation and joint damage in people with rheumatoid arthritis.

The compound from green tea also was found to suppress the inflammatory products in the connective tissue of people with rheumatoid arthritis.

“Our research is a very promising step in the search for therapies for the joint destruction experienced by people who have rheumatoid arthritis,” says Salah-uddin Ahmed, Ph.D., lead researcher on the study. Ahmed, a research investigator with the Division of Rheumatology at the U-M Health System, was selected to present the research at the Experimental Biology meeting as the recipient of the Young Scientist Travel Award, given by the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. This study was also selected by the American Society for Nutrition to be featured in a press release.

To conduct the research, the scientists isolated cells called synovial fibroblasts from the joints of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. These fibroblasts – cells that form a lining of the tissue surrounding the capsule of the joints – then were cultured in a growth medium and incubated with the green tea compound.

The fibroblasts were then stimulated with pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1β, a protein of the immune system known to play an important role in causing joint destruction in people with rheumatoid arthritis.

The researchers looked at whether the green tea compound has the capability to block the activity of two potent molecules, IL-6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which also are actively involved in causing bone erosion in the joints of people with rheumatoid arthritis.

When untreated cells were stimulated with IL-1β, a sequence of molecular events occurred that resulted in production of the bone-destructive molecules. But the scientists found that pre-incubation with EGCG was capable of inhibiting the production of these molecules. EGCG also inhibited the production of prostaglandin E2, a hormone-like substance that causes inflammation in the joints.

The cell signaling pathways that regulate levels of these immune system molecules under both normal and rheumatoid arthritis situations are well studied, and the researchers were able to trace the effects of the green tea compound infusion to see that it worked by inhibiting these pathways.

Ahmed says that these studies suggest that EGCG or molecules that could be derived synthetically from the EGCG found in green tea may be of therapeutic value by inhibiting the joint destruction in rheumatoid arthritis.

Previously, Ahmed and other researchers made another promising finding when EGCG-pretreated synovial fibroblasts were stimulated with the cytokine IL-1β to study the protective effect of this green tea compound. Compared to untreated synovial fibroblasts, the cells treated with EGCG markedly blocked the ability of IL-1β to produce the proteins and enzymes that infiltrate the joints of persons with rheumatoid arthritis and cause cartilage degradation.

The laboratory now is focused on the inhibitory role of EGCG in gene expression. The scientists plan to test EGCG in animal models of rheumatoid arthritis to see if it provides similar therapeutic or preventive effects. Ahmed believes that the outcome of these studies will form a strong foundation for future testing of green tea compound in humans with rheumatoid arthritis.

In addition to Ahmed, authors of the study are Angela Pakozdi, M.D., a former research fellow in the Division of Rheumatology at the U-M Health System; and Alisa E. Koch, M.D., the Frederick G.L. Huetwell and William D. Robinson, M.D. Professor of Rheumatology at the U-M Health System and a researcher at the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System.

This research was supported by National Institutes of Health grants and Veteran Administration Medical Research Service funds to Koch.

Quantum physics says goodbye to reality

Some physicists are uncomfortable with the idea that all individual quantum events are innately random. This is why many have proposed more complete theories, which suggest that events are at least partially governed by extra "hidden variables". Now physicists from Austria claim to have performed an experiment that rules out a broad class of hidden-variables theories that focus on realism -- giving the uneasy consequence that reality does not exist when we are not observing it (Nature 446 871).

Some 40 years ago the physicist John Bell predicted that many hidden-variables theories would be ruled out if a certain experimental inequality were violated – known as "Bell's inequality". In his thought experiment, a source fires entangled pairs of linearly-polarized photons in opposite directions towards two polarizers, which can be changed in orientation. Quantum mechanics says that there should be a high correlation between results at the polarizers because the photons instantaneously "decide" together which polarization to assume at the moment of measurement, even though they are separated in space. Hidden variables, however, says that such instantaneous decisions are not necessary, because the same strong correlation could be achieved if the photons were somehow informed of the orientation of the polarizers beforehand.

Bell's trick, therefore, was to decide how to orient the polarizers only after the photons have left the source. If hidden variables did exist, they would be unable to know the orientation, and so the results would only be correlated half of the time. On the other hand, if quantum mechanics was right, the results would be much more correlated – in other words, Bell's inequality would be violated.

Many realizations of the thought experiment have indeed verified the violation of Bell's inequality. These have ruled out all hidden-variables theories based on joint assumptions of realism, meaning that reality exists when we are not observing it; and locality, meaning that separated events cannot influence one another instantaneously. But a violation of Bell's inequality does not tell specifically which assumption – realism, locality or both – is discordant with quantum mechanics.

Markus Aspelmeyer, Anton Zeilinger and colleagues from the University of Vienna, however, have now shown that realism is more of a problem than locality in the quantum world. They devised an experiment that violates a different inequality proposed by physicist Anthony Leggett in 2003 that relies only on realism, and relaxes the reliance on locality. To do this, rather than taking measurements along just one plane of polarization, the Austrian team took measurements in additional, perpendicular planes to check for elliptical polarization.

They found that, just as in the realizations of Bell's thought experiment, Leggett's inequality is violated – thus stressing the quantum-mechanical assertion that reality does not exist when we're not observing it. "Our study shows that 'just' giving up the concept of locality would not be enough to obtain a more complete description of quantum mechanics," Aspelmeyer told Physics Web. "You would also have to give up certain intuitive features of realism."

However, Alain Aspect, a physicist who performed the first Bell-type experiment in the 1980s, thinks the team's philosophical conclusions are subjective. "There are other types of non-local models that are not addressed by either Leggett's inequalities or the experiment," he said. "But I rather share the view that such debates, and accompanying experiments such as those by [the Austrian team], allow us to look deeper into the mysteries of quantum mechanics."

Deze krant heeft het gewaagd om de rol van de katholieke kerk in het zuiden aan de kaak te stellen en dat was net even wat teveel voor bisschop Wiertz. ‘De kerk is er niet om te judassen,’ zie hij, toen hij eindelijk het beledigde stilzwijgen doorbrak. Daarbij vergetend dat hij de leugen rondom Judas weer eens bevestigt. Hoezo Judassen? Judas was geen verrader. Hij heeft zijn moeilijke taak bewust en op verzoek, op zich genomen. Dat weten we sinds het judasevangelie is ontdekt. Toch noemt Wiertz het juiste woord. Want verraad is tegengesteld aan vrije meningsuiting. Bisschop Wiertz wijst beschuldigend met de vinger. Deze keer is de journalistiek de zondebok. Zij zijn schuld aan de negatieve beeldvorming die is ontstaan.

Knippen en plakken

Dit is al zo oud als het christelijke bestaan. Denk maar aan Alexandrië, dat ooit het centrum van de wetenschap in de klassieke wereld was. Manuscripten en papyrusrollen met hermetische en gnostische kennis waren toen voor iedereen toegankelijk. Vanaf de derde eeuw verwoestten dolle christelijke menigten de vele bibliotheken, waaronder de bibliotheek bij de Tempel van Serapis. Dit verlies van rijkdom aan kennis, was een van de grootste rampen in de geschiedenis. Het is een schending waarvoor het christendom nooit ter verantwoording is geroepen. Sterker nog: christelijke fundamentalisten zijn door de eeuwen heen maar al te graag bereid geweest om boeken te verbranden. Alles wat niet strookt met de in elkaar geflanste katholieke leer werd vernietigd. Er is weinig veranderd. De kerk en het geschreven woord zullen, zoals deze bisschop weer eens bewijst, wellicht nooit op goede voet met elkaar komen te staan.

De kerk heeft zich altijd al verzet tegen andersdenkenden. Men heeft zelfs geprobeerd de hermetische en gnostische leer uit te roeien. Gnosis betekent het overstijgen van de materiele schepping en het één worden met de pure geest. De hermetische leer echter aanvaardt de werkelijkheid als een allesomvattende totaliteit. De structuur van de microkosmos is in overeenstemming met de macrokosmos, of met andere woorden: ‘Zo boven zo beneden. Zo binnen zo buiten’. De hermetische leer voorzag in een heroriëntatie van de mens op de kosmos en zijn eigen lotsbeschikking. De mens kon zijn afhankelijkheid laten varen en met een eigen zoektocht beginnen. Dit spirituele gedachtegoed werd in het soefisme, de islam en de kabbala geïntegreerd. De kerk was hier echter niet blij mee. Het paste immers niet in het plaatje dat de mens geen bemiddelaar nodig heeft om nader tot het goddelijke te komen. Het is dan ook algemeen bekend dat niet alleen oude wijsheidsteksten zijn vernietigd, tegenstanders zijn vermoord, maar ook dat in de evangeliën naar willekeur is geknipt en geplakt. Volgens bestseller auteurs Michael Baigent en Richard Leigh klopt er historisch gezien weinig van bijvoorbeeld het kruisingsverhaal. Het is ook zeer aannemelijk dat Jezus was getrouwd en kinderen had. Volgens het goed gedocumenteerde boek: ‘Het Heilige Bloed, de Heilige Graal’ heeft de kerk op grote schaal gelogen en de geschiedenis vervalst.

Kruisvaartochten

Wie de geschiedenis een beetje kent, weet dat geen enkele religie zoveel bloed aan haar handen heeft als het christendom. Alles wat tegenstrijdig was aan de dogma’s en doctrines moest het ontgelden. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de kruisvaartochten waar ontelbare onschuldige mensen werden afgeslacht. De katharen werden als ketters gezien omdat ze ontkenden dat Jezus de zoon van God was en aan het kruis was gestorven. De kerk mobiliseerde haar krachten om de antikerkelijke rebellen tijdens belegering van Montsegur te vermoorden.

De Katharen waren niet de enige slachtoffers, wat er bij Massada gebeurde was de reinste gruwel, net zo als het lot van de Merovingen en het gaat maar door, tot de beschamende vertoning tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog. Sinead ‘ Connor maakte hier ooit een statement over door de beeltenis van de paus te verscheuren.

Maria Magdalena

En er zijn wel meer vrouwen boos op de kerk. Neem het verhaal dat over Maria Magdalena de wereld in werd geslingerd. Zij zou een hoer zijn, waar zeven bozen geesten uit zijn verdreven. Wie echter een paar andere boeken leest, komt er al snel achter dat het zogenaamde ‘exorcisme’ een geheime inwijdingsrite is geweest. Maria Magdalena was geen hoer, integendeel, ze was de gezellin van Yeshua Ben Mirjam*. We zijn eeuwen bedrogen, maar dankzij de ontdekking van de Dode Zee rollen en Nag Hammadi -geschriften kan ons beeld worden bijgesteld. Deze vondsten omvatten de oude evangeliën over het allereerste geloof en Jezus. Zoals we weten werd Jezus omringd door zijn apostelen. Op Maria Magdalena na waren het allemaal mannen. Zij was een ‘apostola apostolorum’, ‘de vrouw die het Al kent’. Zij was volledig ingewijd in de tempel van Isis. Als geliefde van Jezus was het haar taak te helpen zodat Hij zijn beproevingen kon doorstaan. Door de magie van Horus en Isis, werd alchemie mogelijk. Dat Jezus niet met de eerste de beste een relatie had, vereist geen grote denksprong. En dat Maria Magdalena in de evangeliën als ingewijde wordt vermeld, zegt ook genoeg. De kerk riep Jezus uit tot Gods zoon, die stierf om ons van onze zonden te bevrijden, maar dat is generaties later bedacht. De eerste volgelingen van Jezus kenden Hem niet als een zoon van God, maar als Verlichter die de weg naar Goddelijkheid wijst. Dat Jezus en Maria geliefden waren, staat in een aantal openbaringen geschreven, zoals in het evangelie van Johannes en Filippus. Daar wordt openlijk over haar gesproken als de metgezellin van de Heer.

Jaloerse Petrus

Toch was Maria Magdalena niet bij iedereen populair, zo moest de jaloerse Petrus niks van haar weten. Zijn uitgesproken vrouwonvriendelijke ideeën zijn opgetekend in de Pistis Sophia en zouden vandaag de dag ronduit seksistisch en discriminerend worden genoemd. Uitgerekend Petrus, grondlegger van de katholieke kerk en eerste bisschop van Rome, had een bloedhekel aan vrouwen. Met als gevolg dat door geschiedvervalsing de relatie van Jezus met Maria werd weggemoffeld. Door Maria Magdalena als een overspelige en bezetene te degraderen, werd symbolisch elke vrouw ontheiligd. Eva kreeg ook al de schuld omdat zij van de boom van Kennis van Goed en Kwaad had gegeten en daarmee zichzelf en Adam uit het paradijs zou hebben verdreven. Het kwaad schuilt immers in de verleiding en in het vrouwelijke. De esoterische traditie binnen de kerk heeft er dan ook alles aan gedaan om elk vleugje erotiek uit te bannen en het celibaat heilig te verklaren.

Na de kruisiging is Maria Magdalena samen met haar gezelschap naar Egypte gevlucht en vandaar naar Zuid Frankrijk uitgeweken. Bij Saintes Maries de La Mer is ze aan land gegaan om verder te reizen naar Languedoc en Engeland. Volgens de plaatselijke legende was ze zwanger van een meisje dat later Sar’h werd genoemd. De dochter van Jezus en Maria wordt nog steeds als Sarah, de donkere dienares, geëerd. Pas in 1969 heeft de Roomse kerk officieel verklaard dat Maria Magdalena geen prostituee was.

De brandstapel

Mede dankzij de kerk is het lot van vrouwen onnodig ondraaglijk gemaakt. Door de genadeloze kruistochten zijn de godinnen vererende godsdiensten op een afschuwelijke manier de mond gesnoerd. Ontelbare vrouwen zijn tijdens de heksenvervolging gedood, priesteressen en mystici werden terechtgesteld. Zelfs vroedvrouwen moesten er aan geloven. Honderdduizenden ongelukkige slachtoffers werden gemarteld door schijnheilige en intolerante inquisiteurs. En dat alles werd gerechtvaardigd door het kerkelijke idee dat de vrouw verantwoordelijk is voor de erfzonde en als hoer werd gezien. In driehonderd jaar heeft de kerk vijf miljoen vrouwen op de brandstapel gebracht. Seksualiteit werd beschamend en de seksuele driften waren het werk van de duivel. Het is het zoveelste treurige hoofdstuk uit de geschiedenis van het christendom. De tijd van leugens is voorbij, maar de schade is enorm. Vrouwen werden onderdrukt, geschonden en het zwijgen opgelegd. Het leed van generaties lang is niet in woorden samen te vatten, maar tijden veranderen. ‘Niets menselijks is mij vreemd’, zei Jezus, maar ook dat is door de kerk naar eigen goeddunken geïnterpreteerd.

De mens is goddelijk

Wie terug in de tijd gaat kan niet anders dan concluderen dat juist de katholieke kerk de leer van de Christus heeft ontheiligd. De mens is in wezen goddelijk. Het gaat om liefde, compassie en mededogen. Het koningrijk zit in jezelf. Ware spiritualiteit heeft geen bemiddeling van buitenaf nodig. Laat staan dat je zonden met aflaten kunt afkopen. De kerkelijke leer is niets anders dan een selectieve verzameling van fragmenten dat in overeenstemming is gebracht met de behoefte van bepaalde gevestigde belangen. Het uitgangspunt was het verwerven van macht en het onder de duim houden van de ‘gelovigen’. Iedere theoloog heeft wel eens van Irenaeus gehoord. Deze bisschop van Lyon heeft meer dan welke kerkvader dan ook er toe bijgedragen dat de christelijke leer een samenhangend verhaal werd door de eigen ideeën toe te passen, waarbij hij werken wegliet en andere opnam. Geen van de vijfduizend nog bestaande manuscripten met delen van het Nieuwe Testament is ouder dan de vierde eeuw. Het is een product van schrijvers en bewerkers, bewakers van de orthodoxie, die slechts de eigen belangen voor ogen hadden.

De kerk wist dat als de ware toedracht bekend werd, niemand erover zou peinzen om de eigen macht aan een autoriteit af te staan. Het enige dat we immers hoeven te doen is ons goddelijk erfgoed weer op te eisen. ‘Heb uw naasten lief’, zei Jezus, maar ook deze eenvoudige bede heeft de kerk door de eeuwen heeft naast zich neer gelegd en besmeurd. Bovenstaand is slechts een summiere opsomming van de geschiedenis. Anno 2007 zijn de kerken leeg, de mens heeft massaal zijn rug gekeerd en zoekt op zijn eigen individuele manier naar inzicht en waarheid.

Global dimming

Een nieuwe ster aan het klimaatfirmament is ‘global dimming’. Uit metingen zou blijken dat de zoninstraling op het aardoppervlak de afgelopen 50 jaar met 10– 20% is afgenomen. Dit is aanleiding voor uiteenlopende theorieën. Helaas worden de oorzaken en gevolgen van dit zorgwekkende fenomeen daarbij verduisterd. Wat we horen is desinformatie en onzinnige angstzaaierij.

Aangenomen wordt dat global dimming komt door luchtvervuiling. Gevolg is dat minder zonlicht het aardoppervlak bereikt; de ‘dimming’ dus. Kort door de bocht wordt vervolgens ook maar geroepen dat dit een afkoelend effect heeft. Voor het gemak wordt daarbij vergeten dat de stofdeeltjes - en waterdruppeltjes die zich daaromheen vormen - zelf warmte opnemen, en dit bovendien vasthouden.

Hoogst waarschijnlijk zorgt de diffuse vervuiling voor opwarming. Zie het maar als een deken. Weliswaar bereikt minder warmtestraling het bed. Toch zorgt de deken dat het in bed behaaglijk blijft. Opwarming is vooral een kwestie van meer warmte vasthouden, niet van warmte toelaten.

Maar zoiets willen de klimaat-angst-profeten niet horen. Ze hebben juist een lekker eng verhaal bedacht. Goed om een angstige bevolking nog meer vuil en onzin te laten slikken.

De BBC toonde al een voorproefje van hoe dat gaat. Eerst wordt een infantiele mythe bedacht: door ‘global dimming’ hebben wij de ware aard van het broeikaseffect nog niet leren kennen. Laten we vooral niet proberen de lucht wat schoner te krijgen. Want dan staat ons pas echt een ramp te wachten. Extreme opwarming met als gevolg 6 meter zeewater in je keuken.

Om te voorkomen dat we zelf gaan nadenken en concluderen dat dit grote onzin is, wordt e.e.a. gelardeerd met schokkende beelden. Stervende bejaarden en uitgehongerde Afrikanen worden misbruikt om ons de schrik in de benen te jagen. Nee, niet nadenken maar rennen! En vertrouwen dat die onheilsprofeten met hun valse verhalen het zaakje voor ons oplossen. Bijvoorbeeld door met vliegtuigen extra troep in de atmosfeer te sproeien.

Bij een heldere atmosfeer straalt er net zoveel warmte van de aarde als dat er instraalt. Een vervuilde atmosfeer laat minder straling door, neemt zelf warmte op en houdt warmte vast. Dat er minder warmtestraling op de aardkost komt is minder belangrijk. Waar het om gaat is dat de warmte bij de aarde blijft hangen en kan opbouwen.

Het gaat hier gelukkig om een kortstondig effect. De vervuiling moet in stand worden gehouden wil het effect voortgaan. Door het vliegverbod na 9/11 werd duidelijk dat het aandeel van vliegtuigsmog in de opwarming heel groot is. En – interessanter nog – dat de lucht al binnen een etmaal geklaard kan zijn, waardoor de aarde zijn warmte weer gewoon verliest. De dagen zijn behaaglijker en het ‘klimaatprobleem’ voor een groot deel opgelost.

Maar nee. Ook dat willen de spindoctors niet horen. In plaats daarvan verminken ze de lessen uit de 9/11 schone lucht ervaring. Ze wijzen erop dat overdag de zon helderder straalde. En volgens hen is dat een groot probleem. Zo proberen ze de domsten onder ons wijs te maken dat een fijne zonnige dag heel gevaarlijk is. En verschillende danktanks lopen zich al warm om het chemtrailen van de atmosfeer openlijk te verdedigen.

Een ding doen ze niet in die politieke denktanks. Dat is evenwichtig nadenken. Ze zijn alleen bezig met wat ze ons en onze bestuurders willen laten geloven. Dit tot gerief van hun broodheren. Juist ja… big business…de grote aardvervuilers.

Veel onzin hebben ze mij al op de mouw gespeld. Maar hier trek ik toch een lijn. Ik ben gesteld op zonnige dagen, koele nachten en heldere luchten. Als ik daarvoor wat minder in een van hun vliegtuigen moet stappen dan heb ik dat er graag voor over. Bovendien: waarom vlieg ik eigenlijk? Vaak is dat voor een weekje zon en frisse lucht.

Practical Guide to Free-Energy Devices

The purpose of this web site is to provide you with an introduction to a series of devices which have been shown to have very interesting properties and some are (incorrectly) described as 'perpetual motion' machines.

What's that you say - perpetual motion is impossible? My, you're a difficult one to please. The electrons in the molecules of rock formations have been orbiting steadily for millions of years without stopping - at what point will you agree that they are in perpetual motion?

So, why don't electrons run out of energy and just slow down to a standstill? Quantum Mechanics has shown that the universe is a seething cauldron of energy with particles popping into existence and then dropping out again. Knowing that E = mC2, we can see that a tremendous amount of energy is needed to create any form of matter. Scientists remark that if we could tap even a small part of that energy, then we would have free energy for our lifetime.

The Law of Conservation of Energy is undoubtedly correct when it shows that more energy cannot be taken out of any system than is put into that system. However, that does not mean that we cannot get more energy out of a system than we put into it. A crude example is a solar panel in sunlight. We get electrical power out of the panel but we do not put the sunlight into the panel - the sunlight arrives on its own. This example is simple as we can see the sunlight reaching the solar panel.

If, instead of the solar panel, we had a device which absorbs some of the energy which Quantum Mechanics observes and gives out, say, electrical power, would that be so different? Most people say "yes! - it is impossible!" but this reaction is based on the fact that we cannot see this sea of energy. Should we say that a TV set cannot possibly work because we cannot see a television transmission signal?

Many people have produced devices and ideas for tapping this energy. The energy is often called "Zero-Point Energy" because it is the energy which remains when a system has its temperature lowered to absolute zero. This presentation is introductory information on what has already been achieved in this field: devices which output more power than they require to run. This looks as if they contradict the Law of Conservation of Energy, but they don't, and you can see this when you take the zero-point energy field into account.

The material on this web site describes more than thirty different devices, with diagrams, photographs, explanations, pointers to web sites, etc. As some of the devices need an understanding of electronic circuitry, a simple, step-by-step instruction course in electronics is also provided. This can take someone with no previous knowledge of electronics, to the level where they can read, understand, design and build the type of circuits used with these devices.

This is a very interesting field and the topic is quite absorbing once you get past the "it has to be impossible" attitude. We were once told that it would be impossible to cycle at more than 15 mph as the wind pressure would prevent the cyclist from breathing. Do you want to stay with that type of 'scientific' expert? What it does, is take some of what are in my opinion, the most promising and interesting items, group them by category, and attempt to describe them clearly and without too many technical terms.
